The President of Penn State University is getting is raise. The Penn State Board of Trustees unanimously approved a two-point-five-percent salary increase for Eric Barron. That will bump his salary up to more than 855-thousand dollars a year. According to the "Centre Daily Times," Barron will actually get more than a million dollars after factoring in an annual retention bonus. During the 2018 calendar year, the Chronicle of Higher Education reports Barron was the third-highest paid public university president in the nation. The 67 year-old Barron became Penn State's 18th president in May 2014.
