Congressman Dan Meuser of Pennsylvania’s 9th Congressional District which includes Columbia and Montour Counties visited the southern border over the summer with members of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus. Meuser and the other lawmakers inspected points of entry, a border patrol station, and a centralized processing center. They also examined the physical U.S.-Mexican border and participated in briefings and discussions with experts on the ground. Meuser was a guest on HLM’s Morning Buzz Tuesday. Meuser says he believes building the border wall, enacting tougher asylum laws, and locating asylum processing centers in Mexico are all important steps to helping fix the border crisis.
