Danville's Embattled Head Football Coach Resigns

Danville High School needs a new head football coach as Jim Keiser officially resigned Monday. Keiser’s resignation comes after he was suspended for the last two games. District officials haven’t publicly disclosed the reason Keiser was suspended, just that some sort of allegation needed to be investigated. This isn’t his first suspension. In 2018, he served a one-game suspension after he and an assistant coach shoved each other on the sidelines during a game. Even before the 2018 suspension, school officials had considered opening Keiser’s position following an internal review of the football program. Keiser has been head coach at Danville since 2009.
