Senator Casey Pushing For Greater Gun Control In Wake Of Recent Shootings

Pennsylvania's senior US Senator is among those speaking out in favor of legislation to address recent acts of gun violence. Following mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio, along with last week's shootout in Philadelphia that left six police officers wounded, Sen. Bob Casey of Pennsylvania said that reasonable steps need be taken to limit the types of firearms that are available to civilians. Casey is calling on leaders in the US Senate to act on legislation already approved in the House, including a bill to require universal background checks for anyone seeking to purchase a firearm, including at a gun show.
