New PA Law Says Teachers Can't Carry A Gun In School

Governor Wolf has signed a bill into law that focuses on school security. The measure is known as Act 67. It spells out specific guidelines regarding districts which hire armed security guards, with training focused of specific instances where deadly force many be included. The bill also adds sheriffs and deputy sheriffs to those allowed to become school resource officers, while specifying that teachers are not among the personnel that can be allowed to carry a firearm.
