Central Columbia’s Career Pathways High School Wednesday celebrated a relatively new partnership that is giving a big boost the Central’s Engineering, Manufacturing, and Industrial Technology program. The partnership involves the Society for Manufacturing Engineers or SME for short along with local companies like Kawneer. The partnership has brought hundreds-of-thousands of dollars in state-of-the art manufacturing equipment as well as teacher training to the school. As a part of the partnership, Central last year received $50,000 in precision measuring equipment. And recently just took delivery on a $150,000 robotic arm used in manufacturing.
