Chesapeake Bay Foundation Critical Of PA's Efforts To Reduce Pollution

A report on the state of the Chesapeake Bay Clean Water Blueprint finds Pennsylvania coming up short. The Chesapeake Clean Water Blueprint was signed by Pennsylvania and the other states in the Chesapeake Bay watershed in 2010 in an effort to reduce nitrogen, phosphorus and sediment in the bay by 2025. But Chesapeake Bay Foundation official Bill Chain says Pennsylvania in behind in meeting its targets to reduce those nutrients and sediment. In particular the report finds PA’s efforts to reduce pollution from farms is inadequate.
