Legislation To Change High School Playoffs Under Consideration In PA Legislature

A bill which would change the playoff system for high school sports continues to make its way through the state legislature. With parochial, private and charter schools having won 63 percent of state championships in football and boys and girls basketball since 2014, state Representative Scott Conklin says his legislation would give the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association the option to create a separate high school playoffs for public and private schools. Conklin believes that would create a level playing field.
