A Domestic Disturbance In Moving Vehicle Turns Violent In Berwick

A Columbia County man is facing a list of charges after Berwick Police say he let an an argument with his girlfriend in a moving vehicle get out of hand. Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Pine Street Wednesday for a domestic disturbance. Cops say 31-year-old Thomas Rundle became violent while arguing with his girlfriend as she was driving. Officers say Rundle activated the vehicle's emergency brake causing it to come to a screeching halt just before he began physically assaulting his girlfriend. The incident played out with two young children in the vehicle. Police say a Berwick resident intervened and physically restrained Rundle until the victim and her children could get out of harm’s way. Rundle is facing charges of simple assault, terroristic threats, and 3 counts of recklessly endangering another person.
