Dog Wardens To Go Door-To-Door Checking For Licenses And Rabies Shots

Dog law enforcement wardens from the state Department of Agriculture are going door-to-door beginning this month making sure that all dogs are licensed and have had their rabies vaccinations. The Department of Agriculture says having a dog licensed and vaccinated against rabies provides peace of mind should a dog get lost and ensures the safety of the pet and the community. At $6.50 for each spayed or neutered dog and $8.50 for a dog which is not spayed or neutered, the Department says having a dog licensed is a small investment to make.
