Twin Brothers Charged In Family Squabble In Elysburg That Included Gunfire

Police have identified the two men charged in connection with a family dispute that that involved gunfire Friday night on West Valley Avenue just off Route 487 in Elysburg. Twin brothers—Thomas Swartz of Shamokin and Nicholas Swartz of Elysburg—were locked up on $20,000 bail each following the incident. Police say the altercation began when Thomas Swartz was prevented from picking up his son at his parents’ home on West Valley Avenue. Police say Nicholas Swartz fired a gun at his brother’s pick-up truck as his brother Thomas Swartz tried to run him down with his truck.
