PA Pardons Board Says There Are No Guarantees For Those Who Apply For Pardon From Non-Violent Marijuana Convictions

The head of Pennsylvania’s Board of Pardons is saying more about the expedited application process for pardons from nonviolent marijuana-related convictions. Board of Pardons Secretary Brandon Flood says through the program the board is merely expediting the review, but is not making any promises about favorable outcomes. Flood says the filing process for the expedited review program is the same as the traditional pardon process. He says any felony conviction for possession of marijuana would be eligible for the program through which the board hopes to be able to hear cases within a year or less.
