GMC Achieves Top Nursing Designation For Third Time

Geisinger Medical Center in Danville has announced that it has received Magnet designation for the third time from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The Magnet Recognition Program is known as the Gold standard for nursing excellence. Crystal Muthler, Geisinger Medical Center’s Chief Nursing Officer, says the hospital first achieved Magnet status in 2008. Only about 8 percent of the nation’s hospitals achieve Magnet status.
