Convicted killer Anthony “Rocco” Franklin is scheduled to be back in Columbia County court this afternoon for a hearing as he challenges his conviction. Franklin was convicted back on October 1st of the 2012 murder of his former son-in-law Frank Spencer at Spencer’s home in Hemlock Township. Franklin was sentenced in December to life plus 40 years in prison. Franklin and his attorney, Brian Ulmer, claim there wasn’t enough evidence for a conviction. Ulmer is asking the judge in the case to enter a judgement of acquittal or order a new trial.
