New Report Says More Needs To Be Done To Improve Food Safety

The Pennsylvania Public Interest Research Group says a new report highlights the need for improved food safety. PennPIRG report says an 83 percent increase in the most hazardous Class 1 recalls for meat and poultry over the past five years shows that more needs to be done to protect the nation's food supply. And PennPIRG says fewer inspectors on the job due to the partial federal government shutdown could also be impacting the safety of food.
