Gov. Wolf Announces Statewide Carbon Emission Reduction Goals

Governor Tom Wolf has announced goals to reduce carbon emissions in Pennsylvania, a major contributor to climate change. The Governor's announcement comes on the heels of a report outlining a significant increase in greenhouse gases in 2018, as well as a prediction that by the end of the century the average temperature could rise by 9 degrees or more if no steps are taken. Governor Wolf wants to cut greenhouse gas emissions in Pennsylvania by 26 percent by 2025 and by 80 percent by 2050.
