PA House Committee Approves Worker Information Bill

A bill which seeks to ensure public sector workers know their rights under the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Janus vs. AFSCME has been approved by the State House Labor and Industry Committee. The bill's sponsor, Representative Kate Klunk says her legislation allows public sector workers to make an informed choice about funding a union. But Representative Ed Neilson voted against the bill, calling it anti-worker. Concerns were also raised that the legislation is a step toward taking away the rights of organized workers in PA.
