Pre-K Programs Provide Benefit To Students

As the start of a new school year approaches, many children will be entering pre-kindergarten programs. Many studies have shown that children who have a pre-k experience are better prepared to begin school. Jennifer Doyle, Vice-President of the Harrisburg-based Foundation for Enhancing Communities, says early childhood education benefits children in a number of ways. Foundation President Janice Black says children who don't get a good start in school often fall behind and don't catch up which can lead to problems later in life.
