Legislation to be introduced in the state House is in response to the murders of four men in southeastern PA. The bills are the result of the July 2017 murders of 19 year-old Dean Finocchiaro, 21 year-old Thomas Meo 19 year-old Jimi Patrick, and 22 year-old Mark Sturgis. One of the two men behind bars in their deaths was not supposed to be possession of a firearm. Representative Helen Tai says this is unacceptable. Tai's legislation would require the safe storage of firearms and the reporting of lost or stolen weapons by owners, and includes criminal penalties for those who fail to comply.
