Department of Ag To Eradicate Invasive Lanternfly

Experts who have been tasked with dealing with the spotted lanternfly in Pennsylvania agree the effort won't be easy. Radio PA's David Payne reports. The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is joining with the US Department of Agriculture and researchers at Penn State's Cooperative Extension, to come up with ways to contain and eventually eradicate the spotted lanternfly, now present in 13 counties. The current state budget includes 3 million dollars for the effort, along with more than 17 million dollars in federal funding.
