Alternative Fuel Vehicles Eligible For Rebates

Pennsylvania residents who purchase alternative fuel vehicles could receive rebates. Department of Environmental Protection spokesman Neil Shader says a PA resident who purchases a new alternative fuel vehicle with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $60,000 or less and an odometer reading of less than 500 miles after August 31st is eligible for a rebate of up to $2,000. Rebates are also available for the purchase of pre-owned and leased vehicles. People who drive alternative fuel vehicles, which produce less greenhouse gas emissions, can also help to improve the state's air quality.
