Ed Rendell

One of the doctors treating former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell for Parkinson's Disease says his story will likely inspire others. Dr. Matthew Stern is Co-Director of Penn Medicine's Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center at the University of Pennsylvania. He says Ed Rendell is proof that a diagnosis of Parkinson's is not a death sentence, adding the most important result of Rendell's going public is that others will be encouraged to see their doctor if they experience any unusual symptoms. He adds that Rendell serves as an example of what Parkinson's can look like today.
