New Voting Machines Slated For 2020

All 67 counties in Pennsylvania are expected to have new voting machines in place before the next Presidential election, which is less than two years away. The pledge for new machines comes as part of the settlement of a federal lawsuit by 2016 Green Party Presidential candidate Jill Stein. The new machines will be required to include paper records to improve the accuracy of each vote cast. The state has also vowed to pay half the estimated 125 million dollar cost of the new machines, with a funding agreement still to be worked out between the Wolf Administration and leaders in the House and Senate.
