Long-Time Bloomsburg Restaurant Closed Permanently According To Facebook Post

A downtown Bloomsburg restaurant abruptly closed its doors for good over the weekend. A post Saturday night on the Facebook page of Balzano’s Italian Kitchen announced the permanent closure of the restaurant at 112 East Main Street. The post said, “We would like to whole-heartedly thank our many faithful customers, staff, friends, and families for allowing us to do business with you over the years; without your love and support, we would be nothing.” The business was started in 1998 by Al Balzano and his daughter Lucy Hergan. “Mr. B” as he was know died in 2013, and his daughter sold the restaurant in 2014 to the current owner, Marissa Scala.
