Overwhelming Response To State Giveaway Of Life-Saving Drug

There was an overwhelming response to the state’s giveaway of the overdose-reversal medication nalaxone on Thursday. The State Department of Health says 45 distribution locations had run out of the free life-saving drug by 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon. State Health Centers in Bloomsburg, Danville, and Sunbury were among the locations that quickly gave away their allotment. Locations that ran out were creating waitlists in hopes that the state will be able to get an additional supply of nalaxone in the near future and distribute it to those who came away empty-handed.
