The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved Governor Wolf’s request to declare a disaster in 6 counties including Columbia, Northumberland, and Schuylkill Counties as the result of flood damage to homes and businesses sustained during severe storms back in August. The disaster declaration means the SBA will make low-interest loans available to qualified homeowners, renters, and businesses impacted by the flooding that occurred between August 10th and the 15th. Businesses and individuals in neighboring counties such as Montour, Sullivan, Luzerne and Lycoming Counties can also apply for SBA assistance.
