Open Enrollment under the Affordable Care Act ends this Saturday, December 15th. State Insurance Commissioner Jessica Altman urges eligible Pennsylvania residents to go to Healthcare.gov to sign up for a health insurance plan. Altman says she's concerned that about 40,000 fewer Pennsylvanians have done so this year compared to last. Altman says one factor could be that this is the first year there's no tax penalty for not having comprehensive health insurance. However, Altman says such coverage provides peace of mind and financial security in the event of an illness or accident.
