The trial of a former Geisinger doctor accused of indecent assault of a 16-year-old girl which was to get under way next week has now been postponed until February. The Montour County DA says both the prosecution and defense agreed that more time is needed to prepare for the trial of 66-year-old Dr. Abraham Layon of Lewisburg who is charged with indecent assault and harrassment. The girl claims Layon forced himself on her in a meeting Aug. 15th, 2017 at Geisinger, allegedly “gnawing” on the girl’s ears and forcing his tongue down her throat. The girl was part of an educational program Layon ran at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Layon was fired by Geisinger and his state medical license has been suspended.
