PA AG Addresses Impact Of Church Investigation

Pennsylvania's Attorney General says last summer's grand jury report into sexual abuse and cover-up in the Catholic Church in Pennsylvania continues to be felt here and elsewhere. During an address before the Pennsylvania Press Club, state Attorney General Josh Shapiro said taking on the Catholic Church is one example of his office's willingness to go after large institutions in an effort to protect Pennsylvanians. Shapiro says the effects of the report are unmistakable. Shapiro says he will continue to work with state lawmakers to ensure that all four recommendations contained in the report are carried out, including giving victims the chance to sue, even if the abuse happened decades ago.
