Local BSA Accountant Accused Of Embezzling Thousands

A Catawissa woman is scheduled to appear in court November 14th after being charged with stealing thousands of dollars from the Columbia Montour Council of the Boy Scouts of America. 62-year-old Joyce Fisher, who was an accountant for the organization is accused of using the Scouts' credit card to order lunches, purchase gas, and buy a television, diapers, and groceries. She's also accused of using almost $3,500 from the Scouts' account to pay her electric bills as well as stealing $452 in petty cash.
