Father Charged With Felony In Scam

A Danville man is free on bail after being charged with felony theft for accepting more $7-thousand dollars from several people under false pretenses. State Police say 45-year-old Christopher Shultz was lying when told at least five people in Snyder County back in late May and early June that his infant son needed a liver transplant and chemotherapy and he couldn’t afford the treatment. Court records indicate that investigators obtained a search warrant for the child’s medical records and were able to determine that the infant had no medical issues that would require a liver transplant or chemo.
