Animal advocates are pleased with Governor Wolf's signing of legislation which seeks to protect dogs and cats left in hot cars. Pennsylvania SPCA Director of Humane Law Enforcement Nicole Wilson says the new law provides protections for law enforcement officers who see a dog or cat suffering inside a hot car. The new law also seeks to raise public awareness about the dangers of leaving pets alone in hot cars. Wilson says the temperatures inside a vehicle on a hot day can rise rapidly quickly putting an animal who's been left alone at great risk. I'm Mark Sims.
