Some 30-thousand signed petitions have been delivered to Gov. Tom Wolf, calling for his support of a property tax reform proposal known as Senate Bill 76. The bill would eliminate local property taxes used mainly to fund local school districts, and replace the revenue with higher sales and personal income taxes. State Senator David Argall says property owners are demanding reform. The measure lost by one vote the last time it came up in the Senate . Since it's a Constitutional amendment, it must pass the House and Senate in consecutive sessions, then be approved by the voters.
