Pennsylvanians are urged to plan ahead to know what to do in the event of a home fire during this, National Fire Prevention Week. Acting State Fire Commissioner Bruce Trego says the theme of Fire Prevention Week is "Look, Listen, Learn." Trego encourages PA families to develop home fire escape plans and to practice them at least twice a year. With today's homes filled with synthetic materials which burn hotter and faster, Trego says its important to know exactly what you would do in the event of a fire. Once outside, Trego says a person should never go back into a burning structure.
