Southern Columbia School District's website is featuring information about suicide prevention in response to the suicide death of 14-year-old student Natalie Bodnar last week. The district has also issued a statement on the website offering condolences to the Bodnar Family. Some parents and students turned out at Monday night’s Southern school board meeting blaming the girl’s death on bullying and inaction by the district. About 5 or 6 of the parents who attended the school board meeting will take part in an all-day school district policy meeting in November to discuss bullying. Montour Twp. Police continue investigating Bodnar’s death.
