The annual Kiwanis Winterfest is underway today at Camp Brule, off route 154 near Forksville, starting at 6:30 AM. Dress warm and enjoy a day of sleigh rides, ice carving, ice fishing, dog sledding, delicious food, and a polar bear plunge at noon with a $5000 prize. Admission is just $5 for ages 13 and over.

The 9th annual PA State Snownhoe Championships will be held today at Nescopeck State Park in Drums, starting at 11 AM. Events will include a 5-K snowshoe run and a no-snow trail. The Bloomsburg University Men's and Women's basketball teams traveled to East Stroudsburg Saturday afternoon. The Women extended their winning streak to 13 games with a decisive 61-48 win.
