Back by popular demand: on Sunday, October 27, at 9:25 a.m. the First English Baptist church of Bloomsburg will hold their second bluegrass Sunday worship service featuring the popular local bluegrass group, Stained Grass Window. The church is located at 700 Millville road in Bloomsburg, and all visitors are welcome.
The Orangeville public library is asking for you to stop by the library starting Monday October 14- Monday october 28 to cast your vote for your favorite scarecrow. Approximately 15-20 decorated scarecrows will be on display in front of the library. Hours are Mon. - Thurs. 2 - 7 and Sat. 9 - 12. The library is located at 301 Mill street in Orangeville. Coming up on Tuesday, Columbia County Trout Unlimited chapter is having a meeting, featuring a presentation on steelhead fishing in North and South America followed by a short planning meeting to discuss upcoming events and projects of the chapter. Bloomsburg and Danville renewed their rivalry at Ironmen Stadium in Danville Friday night in our high school football game of the week. In a turnover-ridden game, Danville came back from behind to take a 31-23 win.

At Crispin Field, unbeaten Berwick trounced once beaten Coughlin by a final score of 39-7.
In other High School action Friday Southern Columbia beat Central Columbia 44-12.
In college football Saturday, the unbeaten and 6th ranked Huskies of Bloomsburg University beat Cheyney at Danny Hale Field in Redman Stadium. The Huskies held the Wolves to 35-7. You can hear all the details with Jim Doyle in the WHLM Husky Post-Game Report:
