Junior running back Franklyn Quiteh was named to the first team; junior offensive lineman Brian Clarke was named second team; and senior defensive end Larry Webster was a third team selection.

High school basketball's regular season tipped off Friday night. At the McCloskey Center in Danville, two boys' teams that combined for 45 wins last season- Danville and Pottsville, met in a game you heard on the WHLM Stations. Danville was the winner in the close match, 46-45.
