Danville @ Bloomsburg Friday October 26th

It was a tense night a Panther Stadium and the Danville's Ironmen battled it out to the final seconds. In the end the Ironmen were not able to overcome the Panther's first half leading to a Bloomsburg 14-12 win. The Ironmen scored on a 27 yard field goal kicked by Shayne Riely in the second quarter. A snap that went out of the end zone gave the Ironmen a safety and two more points in the fourth quarter...and their final score of the game came on a pass from Weston Baylor to Bret Berg for a touchdown. It was a hard fought game, right up to the last second, but in the end the Panther's came out on top. Danville will play Selinsgrove at home this Friday night.

The Danville Ironmen Defense was in full force Friday night as they kept the Shikellamy Braves from getting any points on the board. On the side of the offense Danville's quarterback Weston Baylor threw for two touchdowns and Sam Dressler had one rushing touchdown. Their final points of the game came with a 30-yard field goal by kicker Shayne Riley...ending the game with the Ironmen up 24-0. The Ironmen continue on to an impressive 7-1 record for the season. Next week they face Bloomsburg in the WHLM High School Game of the Week.

Danville’s unconventional play calling on special teams gave them an early lead that they never relinquished to a sputtering Montoursville team. Senior Cale Rice recovered the onside kick to start the game, and just a few plays later Running Back Sam Dressler punched in the touchdown on the ground. Both Sam Dressler and Isaiah Crolle both rushed for over 100 yards on their way to the win. Danville finished the game 21-7 over Montoursville and move on next week to face Shikellamy at Shikellamy.

The Ironmen coming off their first loss last week to Central Columbia, rebounded in a big way, defeating Jersey Shore 42-14. Danville’s rushing attack dominated the clock and the scoreboard, with Sam Dressler and Isaiah Croll combining for over 250 yards and 3 scores on the ground. Danville dominated on both sides of the ball, getting them back on the winning track. The 5-1 Ironmen get ready to face Montoursville at home this week.

Danville finally notched their first loss facing a tough Central Columbia team to move to 4-1 on the season. While completing one touchdown through the air, Weston Baylor also put the football on the ground, finishing the game with Danville’s only score. The Ironmen had trouble stopping the Central offense from getting into the endzone, dropping this week’s Game of the Week 7-21. Danville hosts Jersey Shore this week.
