10:00AM 12:00PM Trains The free Saturday Trains program at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church is open each Saturday from 10:00 AM to Noon. They feature the model merry go round, the talking train, and dozens of trains adults and kids can play with. The church is located at the corner of Pine and East Market Streets in Danville.
10:00AM 12:00PM Saturday Trains Program The Free Saturday Trains program is open each Saturday at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Danville from 10:00 AM to Noon. They feature their talking train, a model merry-go-round, and videos of steam engines from the 30s and 40s. The church is located at the corner of Pine and East Market Streets in Danville.
10:00AM 12:00PM Fellowship International The Columbia-Montour Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International will meet on Saturday August 24th at 10:00 AM at Spirit Life Church in Bloomsburg. Guest speaker is Dr. Bill Hurst. There will be food and snacks, they welcome you to join.
11:30AM 4:00PM Pig Pickin' Corn Roastin' The Columbia Montour Aging Office will host the annual Pig Pickin’ Corn Roastin’ Good Time this Saturday from 11:30 to 4:00 at the Catawissa Boat Club. There will be food, prizes, music and fun. Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for kids 6 to 12 and kids under 6 get in free. Proceeds support in-home services for seniors in Columbia and Montour Counties.
12:00PM 4:00PM Wheelchair Engineers The free Wheelchair Engineers Train program at the Columbia Mall is open each Saturday from Noon to 4:00 PM. They have a vintage American Flyer and the Dillon Floral limited-edition train with a puffing MTH steam engine. The layout is handicapped-accessible. The layout is at the Sears end of the Columbia Mall.
12:00PM 8:00PM Art Gallery Artspace Gallery will open an exhibit featuring new clay work by Sara Baker and fiber by Denise Richards on Thursday August 22nd. Recordings of music composed by Sean Richards Teeter will play during the show. The show runs through September 29th with an opening reception on August 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
3:00PM 8:00PM Katy's Church Festival Katy’s Church is holding their annual Festival on Saturday August 24th from 3:00 PM to dusk. They’ll have home cooked food, desserts, and tricky trays. Visit the 1869 historical church located in Madison Township next to the State Game Lands area known as Muncy Hills. Proceeds go toward the continued renovation and restoration of the church.
4:30PM 6:30PM Ice Cream Social Town Hill United Methodist Church will host an ice cream social this Saturday from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. They’re selling homemade ice cream, pies, cakes, soups and sandwiches. Take-outs will be available. The church is located on Town Hill Road in Shickshinny.
All Day SMILE Meeting SMILE is happy to announce that they will now host meetings in Bloomsburg and Berwick. SMILE is a group for single mothers to get together for support and friendship. Meetings in Bloomsburg will be held on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month at Bloomsburg Christian Church. In Berwick at the New Covenant Christian Center on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays. All Day Golf Tournament The Gate House of Montour and Columbia Counties will host their 4th annual golf tournament on Saturday August 24th at the Links Golf Course in Buckhorn. The tournament is a 4-person scramble with a shotgun start at 9:00 AM. Cost is $65 per golfer and includes a cart, pastries and coffee, a hot dog, soda, sandwiches and green fees. All Day Car Raffle Central Susquehanna Sight Services are hosting a car raffle. They’re giving a way a 2013 Honda Insight Hybrid with 40 second prizes valued at $100. All Day Mother Cabrini's Festival You’re invited to Mother Cabrini’s Festival happening Friday August 23rd to Sunday August 25th. The festival is happening Friday from 5 to 10, Saturday from 3 to 10, and Sunday from 12 to 6 at the RCA Picnic Grounds in Ranshaw. The grounds are located off Route 61 near Shamokin.
