4:30PM 10:00PM Catawissa Carnival The Catawissa Firefighter’s Carnival is happening Wednesday August 7th through Saturday August 10th. The carnival opens at 4:30 PM each day, and entertainment starts at 7:00 PM nightly. They have food, entertainment, and more. On Friday it’s their fantastic fish fry. Proceeds benefit the Catawissa Hose Company #1.
All Day Arts Camp Registration is now taking place for Grove Presbyterian Church’s annual arts camp held Monday August 5th through Friday August 9th. It’s open to children having completed the first through seventh grades, and the camp offers experiences in many art forms. Fee is $20 per child, $15 for the second child in the family, and $10 for the third. Please register by calling the church office at 275-0962.
All Day Bloomsburg Nationals The second annual Bloomsburg Nationals powered by Carlisle Events will return ot the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds Friday August 9th through Sunday August 11th. There’s going to be a wing-eating competition, downtown gridlock parade and street party, live music, burnout competition, beauty contest and more. There’s family activities…and of course cars, trucks, bikes and machines of all types.
All Day Car Raffle Central Susquehanna Sight Services are hosting a car raffle. They’re giving a way a 2013 Honda Insight Hybrid with 40 second prizes valued at $100. All Day The Enchanted Pig Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble presents their annual summer family show “The Enchanted Pig” July 18th through the 28th. It’s happening at the Alvina Krause Theatre in Downtown Bloomsburg. Show times are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays at 1:00 PM, Thursday Friday and Saturdays at 7:00 PM, and Sundays at 3:00 PM. All Day Stuff the Bus The Berwick Area United Way is once again asking you to help them to “Stuff the Bus.” They’re collecting school supplies throughout the Berwick Area. You can drop of donations at the Berwick Area United Way, PPL Information Center, and First Keystone Community Bank through August 12th.
All Day School Supply Collection The Salvation Army Bloomsburg Service Center is collecting new and gently used backpacks and school supplies. They’ll give the items to children in Bloomsburg and surrounding areas. Donations can be dropped off at First Presbyterian Church on Market Street in Bloomsburg Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM or the drop box at the Walmart in Buckhorn by August 15th.
All Day Block Party The Defender Fire Company of Berwick is hosting a Block Party this Thursday through Saturday. They have lots of food, kiddie rides, and nightly entertainment. Thursday night at 7:00 PM it’s Zman, Friday night at 7:00 PM it’s The Legends, and Saturday at 7:00 PM it’s Joe Lapchack. Bring a lawn chair and come early for a good seat. The fire company is located at the corner of 6th and Pine Streets in Berwick.
All Day Make A Wish Weekend Moyer’s Grove Campground is hosting their annual Fantastic Make-A-Wish weekend this Friday through Sunday. They have games, food, basket raffles, entertainment, tricky trays and much more this Friday through Sunday. Moyer’s Grove Campground is located in Hobbie outside of Berwick.
All Day Clinton County Fair The Clinton County Fair is happening now through Saturday. Enjoy food, rides, games, exhibits, and daily entertainment. Gate admission is $4.00. It’s happening in Mackeyville Exit 170 off of I-80.
6:00PM 8:00PM Free Play Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble’s summer theatre school is hosting their first annual Play Creation Boot Camp production this Friday at 6:00 PM at the Caldwell Consistory in Bloomsburg. They’re performing “The Legend Of Zammo,” a play written, directed, designed and acted by the camp students. Admission is free and the show is appropriate for all ages.
