It’s an attempt to break the world record for the most women breast-feeding at the same time around the world. Registration starts at 9:30 AM and the breast-feeding will be from 10:30 to 10:31 AM. Refreshments will be provided by the Pine Barn Inn.
10:00AM 7:00PM Art Fest Downtown Bloomsburg presents Art Fest on Saturday August 3rd. It’s a free arts festival showcasing area artists along Center Street in Downtown Bloomsburg. It’s happening from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
10:00AM 12:00PM Trains The free Saturday Trains program at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church is open each Saturday from 10:00 AM to Noon. They feature the model merry go round, the talking train, and dozens of trains adults and kids can play with. The church is located at the corner of Pine and East Market Streets in Danville.
10:00AM 5:00PM Artfest Downtown Bloomsburg will host Summer Artfest on Saturday August 3rd from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It’s a free arts festival to showcase area artists. They’ll have activities for your children provided by the Children’s Museum. It’s happening on Center Street in Downtown Bloomsburg.
10:00AM 12:00PM Saturday Trains Program The Free Saturday Trains program is open each Saturday at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Danville from 10:00 AM to Noon. They feature their talking train, a model merry-go-round, and videos of steam engines from the 30s and 40s. The church is located at the corner of Pine and East Market Streets in Danville.
12:00PM 4:00PM Wheelchair Engineers The free Wheelchair Engineers Train program at the Columbia Mall is open each Saturday from Noon to 4:00 PM. They have a vintage American Flyer and the Dillon Floral limited-edition train with a puffing MTH steam engine. The layout is handicapped-accessible. The layout is at the Sears end of the Columbia Mall.
2:00PM 4:00PM Noh Training Project The Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble presents a free Noh Training Project Recital on Saturday August 3rd at 2:00 PM. The recital is happening at the Alvina Krause Theatre n Downtown Bloomsburg.
4:00PM 11:55PM Parish Picnic Holy Angels Church in Kulpmont invites you to their Parish Picnic this Friday and Saturday. Enjoy a fantastic menu, games, basket bonanza, bake sale and entertainment from 4 to midnight both days. Entertainment by The Shoreliners is from 7 to 11 both nights, and there will be fireworks Saturday at 10:00 PM. Holy Angels is located on Scott Street in Kulpmont.
5:00PM 9:00PM Pig Roast Sons of the American Legion Post 40 are hosting a pig roast on Saturday August 3rd from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. They’re serving pork, mashed potatoes, filling, mixed veggies, bean soup, veggies and fruits, macaroni salad, and whole lot more. Entertainment will be provided by D.J. Stamm Sound from 9:00 PM to Midnight. Tickets are $7.00. They’re located at 175 Northumberland Street in Danville.
All Day SMILE Meeting SMILE is happy to announce that they will now host meetings in Bloomsburg and Berwick. SMILE is a group for single mothers to get together for support and friendship. Meetings in Bloomsburg will be held on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month at Bloomsburg Christian Church. In Berwick at the New Covenant Christian Center on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays. All Day Stuff the Bus The Berwick Area United Way is once again asking you to help them to “Stuff the Bus.” They’re collecting school supplies throughout the Berwick Area. You can drop of donations at the Berwick Area United Way, PPL Information Center, and First Keystone Community Bank through August 12th.
All Day School Supply Collection The Salvation Army Bloomsburg Service Center is collecting new and gently used backpacks and school supplies. They’ll give the items to children in Bloomsburg and surrounding areas. Donations can be dropped off at First Presbyterian Church on Market Street in Bloomsburg Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM or the drop box at the Walmart in Buckhorn by August 15th.

Saturday there’s a Garden Tractor Pull at 3:00 PM and “Kartune” from 7:00 to 11:00 PM. Sunday there’s a 5K run, backyard horseshoe pitch, Chinese auction, parade, and entertainment by “Southbound.”
All Day Potts Grove Festival The Potts Grove Firemen’s Festival is happening Friday August 2nd and Saturday August 3rd. Friday the festival starts at 5:00 PM with lots of food and Midlife Cowboys for entertainment. Saturday the festival starts at 4:00 PM with food again and entertainment by Smooth Country. Both nights feature games, Chinese and silent auction, bingo and more. Proceeds benefit the Potts Grove Fire Company.
6:00PM 11:00PM Picnic Our Lady of Mercy Church in Slabtown invites you to their annual picnic Friday August 2nd and Saturday August 3rd from 6:00 to 11:00 PM. There will be great food, fun games, dancing, and entertainment. The church is located off Route 42 in Slabtown between Numidia and Catawissa.
All Day Ride for Isaiah The Montour Motorcycle Riders invite you to “Ride for Isaiah” Saturday August 3rd. All vehicles are welcome in this ride that will raise funds for a local 3-year-old boy to receive a prosthetic eye. Registration is from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the Smokehouse Bar and Grill in Danville, and the ride ends at the Catawissa Boat Club at 4:00 PM. Cost is $20 in advance or $25 day of ride. All Day Clinton County Fair The Clinton County Fair is happening August 3rd through the 10th. Gate admission is $4. This Saturday there are rides, a chili cook off, figure eight racing, and entertainment by the Kels Lomison band. Sunday there’s a worship service at 10, rides, and entertainment by Gospel Bond at 4 and 6. Lots more happening too this weekend and next week at the Clinton County Fair.
