10:00AM 3:00PM Blood Drive The American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive at the Berwick Hospital on Monday July 22nd from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. You can donate at the Columbia Valley Moose on Monday July 22nd from 1:00 to 6:00 PM. You’re asked to donate to help with the lagging blood supply.
All Day Head Start Recruitment The Columbia Sullivan Head Start program is now recruiting children for the 2013-2014 program year. Head start is federal funded pre-school program that emphasizes education, health, nutrition, mental health, disabilities, social services and parent involvement. Any child who is 3 or 4 years old before September 1st at meets the income guidelines can be considered for the program. If you’re interested in applying for the program, call 784-1076.
6:00PM 8:00PM Bloomin Knitters The Bloomsburg Public Library will host the “Bloomin’ Knitters” Monday nights at 6:00 PM. They invite adults who like to knit, or would like to learn how, to join them. The library is located on Market Street in Bloomsburg.
All Day Car Raffle Central Susquehanna Sight Services are hosting a car raffle. They’re giving a way a 2013 Honda Insight Hybrid with 40 second prizes valued at $100. You can get tickets now for the November 14th drawing. Raffle tickets are a donation of $15.00 per ticket. Look for Central Susquehanna Sight Services at area events to enter. All Day Stuff the Bus The Berwick Area United Way is once again asking you to help them to “Stuff the Bus.” They’re collecting school supplies throughout the Berwick Area. You can drop of donations at the Berwick Area United Way, PPL Information Center, and First Keystone Community Bank through August 12th.
All Day School Supply Collection The Salvation Army Bloomsburg Service Center is collecting new and gently used backpacks and school supplies. They’ll give the items to children in Bloomsburg and surrounding areas. Donations can be dropped off at First Presbyterian Church on Market Street in Bloomsburg Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM or the drop box at the Walmart in Buckhorn by August 15th.
All Day Orangeville Carnival The Orangeville Fire Company Carnival is happening through Saturday. They have plenty of food, games, and a Ferris Wheel. Nightly entertainment includes Smooth Country on Friday and Covert Action on Saturday. Saturday there will be a chicken barbeque at 4:00 PM. It’s all at the Orangeville Fire Company Carnival.
