All Day Head Start Recruitment The Columbia Sullivan Head Start program is now recruiting children for the 2013-2014 program year. Head start is federal funded pre-school program that emphasizes education, health, nutrition, mental health, disabilities, social services and parent involvement. Any child who is 3 or 4 years old before September 1st at meets the income guidelines can be considered for the program. If you’re interested in applying for the program, call 784-1076.
6:00PM 8:00PM Bloomin Knitters The Bloomsburg Public Library will host the “Bloomin’ Knitters” Monday nights at 6:00 PM. They invite adults who like to knit, or would like to learn how, to join them. The library is located on Market Street in Bloomsburg.
All Day Lycoming County Fair The 143rd Lycoming County Fair is happening Friday July 12th through Saturday July 20th. There is plenty for your entire family to do, free daily entertainment, and grandstand entertainment. Entry fee is $6.00, and that covers all mechanical rides. The Lycoming County Fairgrounds are located in Hughesville.
6:00PM 8:00PM BADA Program The Berwick-Anti Drug Alliance presents a program at the McBride Memorial Library Monday July 15th at 6:00 PM. This month’s program is titled “How Heroin Addiction Impacts our Community.” The library is located on Market Street in Berwick.
6:00PM 8:00PM Vacation Bible School Ridge Street United Methodist Church will host vacation bible school Monday through Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM each night. Their theme is “God’s Big Backyard.” The church is located at 145 Ridge Street in Almedia.
All Day Car Raffle Central Susquehanna Sight Services are hosting a car raffle. They’re giving a way a 2013 Honda Insight Hybrid with 40 second prizes valued at $100. You can get tickets now for the November 14th drawing. Raffle tickets are a donation of $15.00 per ticket. Look for Central Susquehanna Sight Services at area events to enter. All Day Stuff the Bus The Berwick Area United Way is once again asking you to help them to “Stuff the Bus.” They’re collecting school supplies throughout the Berwick Area. You can drop of donations at the Berwick Area United Way, PPL Information Center, and First Keystone Community Bank through August 12th.
