8:00AM 10:00AM Flapjack Fundraiser The Bloomsburg YMCA invites you to join them for a flapjack fundraiser at Applebee’s in Bloomsburg on Saturday July 13th from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Cost is $8.00 per person, kids 10 and under are $5.00. All proceeds support the Bloomsburg YMCA Summer Camps. Tickets can be purchased early at the Bloom Y on 7th Street.
8:00AM 10:00AM Breakfast Catawissa First United Methodist Church is hosting an all you can eat breakfast at Indian Head Campground on Saturday July 13th from 8:00 to 10:00 AM. Menu includes ham, sausage gravy, eggs, pancakes, fried potatoes, toast, and beverages. Adults are $6.00 and children ages 5 to 9 are $3.00. The campground is located in Rupert.
10:00AM 12:00PM Trains The Free Saturday Trains Program at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Danville is open each Saturday from 10:00 AM to Noon. They feature their talking train and a new model merry-go-round that you and kids can play with. The church is located at the corner of Pine and East Market Streets in Danville.
10:00AM 4:00PM Dog Days of Summer The Children’s Museum in Bloomsburg invites your kids to “The Dog Days of Summer” on Saturday July 13th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Your kids can learn about dogs, make dog puppets, and read a story to a dog. The Children’s Museum is located on West 7th Street in Bloomsburg.
10:00AM 12:00PM Worm-A-Palooza The Columbia County Traveling Library will host worm-a-palooza this Saturday from 10:00 AM to Noon. Your kids can take part in the fun, informative, yucky, wormy program. It’s happening at the Columbia County Traveling Library location on Sawmill Road.
11:00AM 2:00PM Chicken Bar-B-Que The Men’s Ministry of Crossroads Church of the Nazarene invites you to a chicken bar-b-que on Saturday July 13th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Ticket price is $8.50, and includes ½ chicken, baked beans, macaroni salad, applesauce, roll and butter. Take-outs only. The church is located at the intersections of Routes 45 and 147 in Montandon.
12:00PM 4:00PM Model Trains The handicapped accessible model trail layout at the Columbia Mall will be open every Saturday from Noon to 4:00 PM. The layout is located at the Sears end of the Columbia Mall.
3:00PM 6:00PM Golf Obstacle Course Flood Festival Creators Arrick and Alex Beagle are back at it and invite you to have fun at the BALL FORE Obstacle Course and E-Z Golf on Saturday July 13th at the Links at Hemlock Creek. The course will be set up from 3:00 to 6:00 PM and cost is $4.00. Proceeds benefit the Bloomsburg Area Little League.
4:00PM 7:30PM Chruch Festival Strawberry Ridge Trinity United Church of Christ is hosting a festival on Saturday July 13th from 4:00 to 7:30 PM. They’ll have homemade food including soups and sandwiches, pies, and ice cream for sale. Take-outs will be available. The church is located on Diehl Road in Danville.
All Day SMILE Meeting SMILE is happy to announce that they will now host meetings in Bloomsburg and Berwick. SMILE is a group for single mothers to get together for support and friendship. Meetings in Bloomsburg will be held on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month at Bloomsburg Christian Church. In Berwick at the New Covenant Christian Center on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays. All Day Head Start Recruitment The Columbia Sullivan Head Start program is now recruiting children for the 2013-2014 program year. Head start is federal funded pre-school program that emphasizes education, health, nutrition, mental health, disabilities, social services and parent involvement. Any child who is 3 or 4 years old before September 1st at meets the income guidelines can be considered for the program. If you’re interested in applying for the program, call 784-1076.
All Day Lycoming County Fair The 143rd Lycoming County Fair is happening Friday July 12th through Saturday July 20th. There is plenty for your entire family to do, free daily entertainment, and grandstand entertainment. Entry fee is $6.00, and that covers all mechanical rides. The Lycoming County Fairgrounds are located in Hughesville.
All Day Motorcycle Poker Run Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bridge in Columbia County are sponsoring a Motorcycle Poker Run on Saturday July 13th. The ride starts at the Bloomsburg Fire Department, and will travel through Columbia and neighboring counties, ending at Knoebels. Registration is from 10:00 to 11:00 AM…and cost is $20.00 per rider, $15.00 per passenger. The fire department in Bloomsburg is located on Market Street.
All Day Trains The Loose Ties Model Railroad Club will open up their huge display of trains at the Columbia Mall on Saturday July 13th and Sunday July 14th. The display is open from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, and Noon to 4:00 PM on Sunday.
All Day Car Raffle Central Susquehanna Sight Services are hosting a car raffle. They’re giving a way a 2013 Honda Insight Hybrid with 40 second prizes valued at $100. All Day Stuff the Bus The Berwick Area United Way is once again asking you to help them to “Stuff the Bus.” They’re collecting school supplies throughout the Berwick Area. You can drop of donations at the Berwick Area United Way, PPL Information Center, and First Keystone Community Bank through August 12th.
