9:30AM 11:30AM Bluegrass Worship Service First English Baptist Church of Bloomsburg is hosting a special Bluegrass worship service on Sunday June 30th at 9:30 AM. The popular group Stained Grass Window will be providing the tradition of Christian Bluegrass music. People of all faiths are welcome to attend the inclusive Christian worship service.
1:00PM 2:00PM Re-enactment The Berwick Historical Society invites you to the 100th Anniversary Commemoration of Mrs. Elisabeth Seybert Jackson's funeral, which was held on June 30th, 2013. Mrs. Jackson was the widow of the Jackson Mansion's namesake. This Sunday starting at 1:00 PM they'll host a re-enactment at the Jackson Mansion, which is located on Market Street in Berwick. There is no fee for the event.
4:00PM 6:00PM Music in the Park The Kidsburg 2.0 committee hopes you'll join them for a day of music this Sunday in Bloomsburg Town Park at 4:00 PM. Local artists will perform. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy.
5:30PM 7:30PM Summer Evening Experiences The Grove Presbyterian Church of Danville invites you to Summer Evening Experiences. There will be food, Dr. Seuss readings, family activities, music, scripture, and worship. All Day Volunteers Needed The American Cancer Society is looking for volunteers for their “Road to Recovery” program. You can volunteer your spare time to provide free transportation taking cancer patients to and from their treatments. Volunteer Drivers are needed in Columbia and Montour Counties. All Day Pineknotter Days The annual Pineknotter Days are happening in Northumberland. There’s entertainment, concessions, and more all week long. They’re going on Saturday June 29th through Friday July 5th. It’s happening in King Street Park.
All Day Head Start Recruitment The Columbia Sullivan Head Start program is now recruiting children for the 2013-2014 program year. Head start is federal funded pre-school program that emphasizes education, health, nutrition, mental health, disabilities, social services and parent involvement. Any child who is 3 or 4 years old before September 1st at meets the income guidelines can be considered for the program. If you’re interested in applying for the program, call 784-1076.

All Day Millville Carnival It’s time for the annual Millville Carnival Friday June 28th through Saturday July 6th. There’s nightly entertainment and food. The pet and Toy parade is Tuesday July 2nd. Thursday July 4th it’s the all you can eat breakfast at the cheese steak stand, Independence Day Parade, and a low-level fireworks show at 10:00 PM on the Little League Field. Saturday July 6th is the gigantic fireworks display at midnight. Shuttle bus is available all week long from Woolcock Oil Company.
All Day Motorcycle Run and Vendor Event The Espy Fire Company will host a Rod, Truck and Motorcycle Run and vendor event on Sunday June 30th. Registration for the ride begins at 10:00 AM and it’ll leave at Noon. The vendor event runs from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM…and vendor bingo is happening from Noon to 2:00 PM. All proceeds from this event benefit Emma Shaffer a local 6 year old from Lightstreet with medical complications.
