3:00PM 5:00PM Wheelchair Engineers The free Wheelchair Engineers Train program will be open at the Columbia Mall in Bloomsburg this Monday. The handicapped-accessible model train layout is open each Monday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, and now features the Dillon Floral limited-edition train with its puffing MTH steam engine. It’s located at the Sears end of the mall.
All Day Volunteers Needed The American Cancer Society is looking for volunteers for their “Road to Recovery” program. You can volunteer your spare time to provide free transportation taking cancer patients to and from their treatments. Volunteer Drivers are needed in Columbia and Montour Counties. All Day World Lanuages and Culture Camp Bloomsburg University’s Department of Languages and Cultures invites your children to the first annual World Languages and Cultures Camp. The camp is designed for kids ages 6 to 13 split into two age groups. There is a choice of three weeks; week one is Chinese, week two is Spanish, and week three is Arabic. Your kids can register for one, two or all three camps. Space is limited so you should register now. All Day Head Start Recruitment The Columbia Sullivan Head Start program is now recruiting children for the 2013-2014 program year. Head start is federal funded pre-school program that emphasizes education, health, nutrition, mental health, disabilities, social services and parent involvement. All Day Basketball Shooting Clinic Boy and girl basketball players in grades 4 to 12 can improve their shooting skills by attending a camp run by the nationally renowned “Shot Doctor” Dave Roman. The camp will be held June 17th – 21st at Bloomsburg High School. The boys will learn from 8:00 to 11:45 AM each day, and the girl sessions will run from 12:30 to 4:15 PM.
