9:00AM 1:00PM Indoor Yard Sale The Columbia Valley Moose will host an indoor yard sale on Friday June 14th from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Saturday June 15th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. They’re located behind Sheetz on Route 11.
10:00AM 11:00AM Flag Retirement Ceremony The Orangeville Public Library and Boy Scout Troop 9 will host a US Flag Retirement Ceremony on Saturday June 15th at 10:00 AM. The library is located at 301 Mill Street in Orangeville.
10:00AM 4:00PM Father's, Uncle's, and Grandpa's Day The Children’s Museum will host Father’s, Uncle’s, and Grandpa’s Day on Saturday June 15th from 10 AM to 4 PM. Special make-and-take crafts and story time at noon. Free admission for adult men that accompany children on this day. Admission is $6 and free for children ages 2 and under. The Children’s Museum is located on West 7th Street in Bloomsburg.
10:00AM 12:00PM Trains The Free Saturday Trains Program at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Danville is open each Saturday from 10:00 AM to Noon. They feature their talking train and a new model merry-go-round that you and kids can play with. The church is located at the corner of Pine and East Market Streets in Danville.
10:00AM 5:00PM Strawberry Festival The Sugarloaf Memorial Schoolhouse is hosting their annual strawberry festival and arts and crafts show on Saturday June 15th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The festival features all things strawberry, a baking contest, and a 5K Walk/Run to benefit the Columbia Montour Hospice. There will be children’s games and crafts. It’s a rain or shine event…located on Schoolhouse Road in Benton.
12:00PM 4:00PM Model Trains The handicapped accessible model trail layout at the Columbia Mall will be open every Saturday from Noon to 4:00 PM. The layout is located at the Sears end of the Columbia Mall.
12:00PM 6:00PM Strawberry Social The Millville Valley Grange is hosting a strawberry social on Saturday June 15th from Noon to 6:00 PM. Several strawberry dishes and sandwiches will be available. Proceeds benefit Katy’s Church new concession stand. The grange is located on State Street in Millville.
4:00PM 7:00PM Spaghetti Dinner Cub Scout packs 67 and 71, and Boy Scout Troop 67 are jointly having a spaghetti dinner on Saturday June 15th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. It’s happening at the Grove Building on Ringtown Mountain Road in Numedia. Cost is $7.50 for adults, and $4.00 for children under 12. Kids under 5 eat free. Take-outs will be available.
All Day Berwick Relay For Life The American Cancer Society will host the annual Berwick Relay For Life Friday June 14th to Saturday June 15th at the Berwick High School. Events start at 3:00 PM Friday and continue straight through Saturday at 3:00 PM. Stop by to support this year’s teams and join the fight against cancer.
All Day Volunteers Needed The American Cancer Society is looking for volunteers for their “Road to Recovery” program. You can volunteer your spare time to provide free transportation taking cancer patients to and from their treatments. Volunteer Drivers are needed in Columbia and Montour Counties. All Day SMILE Meeting SMILE is happy to announce that they will now host meetings in Bloomsburg and Berwick. SMILE is a group for single mothers to get together for support and friendship. Meetings in Bloomsburg will be held on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month at Bloomsburg Christian Church. In Berwick at the New Covenant Christian Center on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays. All Day Head Start Recruitment The Columbia Sullivan Head Start program is now recruiting children for the 2013-2014 program year. Head start is federal funded pre-school program that emphasizes education, health, nutrition, mental health, disabilities, social services and parent involvement.
