4:00PM 11:00PM Save The Swimming Pool Carnival The Ber-Vaughn Pool of Berwick is the place for a carnival Wednesday May 22nd through Saturday May 25th. It’s a “Save The Swimming Pool” event to raise funds to help save the Ber-Vaughn Pool in Berwick. The carnival will run Wednesday to Friday from 4:00 to 11:00 PM and Saturday from 1:00 to 11:00 PM. Hewlett Sausage and Denny and Pearl Pizza will be there.
5:00PM 7:00PM Tennis Signups Town Park Tennis 2013 Signups are happening Thursday May 23rd from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Rain or Shine at the Town Park Tennis Courts. They have classes for both children and adults. Two sessions will be offered this summer. Sessions are four weeks long with two lessons per week. For more information email
5:00PM 9:00PM Summer Concert Series Berwick will kickoff its Summer Concert Series on Thursday May 23rd from 5 to 9 PM. The event will include self-guided tours of the Jackson Mansion, local bands, food and a display of works from the Susquehanna River arts artists.
5:00PM 10:00PM Southside Fire Company Carnival The Southside Fire Company presents their annual carnival Tuesday May 21st through Saturday May 25th. Food stands and rides open daily at 5:00 PM. Tuesday entertainment is Covert Action, Wednesday is the Pepper Street Band, Thursday is Memory Lane, Friday is lucky afternoon, and Saturday there’s a chicken barbeque and entertainment is the band Beef. The fire company is located at Avenue D and Third Street in Riverside.
All Day Volunteers Needed The American Cancer Society is looking for volunteers for their “Road to Recovery” program. You can volunteer your spare time to provide free transportation taking cancer patients to and from their treatments. Volunteer Drivers are needed in Columbia and Montour Counties. All Day Flag Collection The Orangeville Public Library is collecting worn US Flags during the month of May. A drop-off box is located inside the library. A proper retirement ceremony will be preformed by the boy scouts of Troop 9 in June. The library is located at 301 Mill Street in Orangeville.
All Day Marcellus Shale Documentary Project The Moose Exchange in Downtown Bloomsburg presents the Marcellus Shale Documentary Project through June 8th. All Day Paint the Town Purple Join the American Cancer Society to Paint the Town Purple for the Bloomsburg Area Relay For Life. 6:30PM 8:00PM Lonely Sock Club The Lonely Sock Club will meet at the Bloomsburg Public Library Thursday May 23rd at 6:30 PM. This time they’re making Lonely Sock Creatures. All materials will be provided, but you can bring your own lonely sock if you have one. The library is located on Market Street in Bloomsburg.
7:00PM 9:00PM Millville Benton Factulty Staff Soccer Game Millville High School will host the 4th annual Millville vs. Benton faculty and staff soccer game on Thursday May 23rd at 7:00 PM. This year’s theme is “Kick It To Cancer.” Proceeds from the game will be given to a second grader at Benton, a local cancer charity, and the sophomore class. Tickets are $3 for adults and $1 for students. It’s happening at the Millard C. Ludwig Stadium.
