12:00PM 5:00PM Bingo The Buckhorn Fire Hall is the place for Bingo no Sunday April 28th. Doors open at Noon and games start at 1:00 PM. It’s purse bingo with door prizes and raffles. Proceeds benefit EOS Therapeutic Riding Center of Buckhorn.
1:00PM 3:30PM Soup and Song The Bloomsburg High School Drama and Chorus program is having a soup and song event this Sunday at the Caldwell Consistory from 1:00 to 3:30 PM. A donation of ten dollars gets you in the door to try different homemade soups. Bread and beverages will also be included…and baked goods will be for sale. Entertainment by the students will be provided…and you can have a chance to win a brand new Amazon Kindle Fire. All proceeds benefit a trip to New York City.
1:30PM 3:30PM Family Musical St. Luke Lutheran Church presents “St. Luke Family Musical” on Saturday April 27th at 6:00 PM, and Sunday April 28th at 1:30 PM. They invite you for laugh-out-loud fun and excitement. It’s an all ages event, free of charge. Donations will be taken to benefit the Kidsburg 2.0 committee. St. Luke’s is located in Bloomsburg.
3:00PM 11:55PM Basket Bingo Camp Victory will be hosting a Basket Bingo on Sunday April 28th. Bingo will feature classic Longaberger Baskets, food, concessions, door prizes and more. Doors open at 2 PM and Bingo begins at 3. Tickets are $20 and must be bought in advance.
All Day Volunteers Needed The American Cancer Society is looking for volunteers for their “Road to Recovery” program. You can volunteer your spare time to provide free transportation taking cancer patients to and from their treatments. Volunteer Drivers are needed in Columbia and Montour Counties. All Day Christmas Card Design Contest Father’s Hope is holding their first Christmas card design contest for local youth. Entries must be submitted by May 31st at the office building at 21 North Arch Street in Milton. The theme for the contest is “Merry Christmas In Any Language: Jesus Loves The Orphan Children Of The World.” The contest is open to youth entered in kindergarten through 12th grade. The winning designer will be awarded $50. Entries must be in color and created by hand.
All Day Art Installation Project Bloomsburg University’s Haas Center for the Arts will soon become home to an original art piece designed to celebrate the collaboration of the university and the greater Bloomsburg community. The piece, titled Confluence, will be a 7 foot by 60 foot depiction of the growth and activity of a small town and how the beauty of nature has inspired a wealth of visual art and cultural enrichment in the area. 19 Susquehanna River Artists have collaborated to construct 18 large tiles that will be installed every two weeks until the piece is completed on May 3rd.
All Day Marcellus Shale Documentary Project The Moose Exchange in Downtown Bloomsburg presents the Marcellus Shale Documentary Project through June 8th.
